Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in safety is required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all safety requirements and objectives are met for each job.
  • Provide all health, safety, and environment site support for company organizations and internal clients, including project managers, maintenance managers, service managers, construction personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Follow proper injury management protocols and notifications.
  • Conduct daily site visits, safety meetings, toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and safety sharings.
  • Conduct observations and complete reporting requirements according to company and client requirements.
  • Meet with the Corporate Safety Director to review safety metrics regularly.
  • Perform verification and validations for job observations, job system analysis compliance and accuracy, job loss analysis compliance and accuracy, hazard identification recognition, and root cause analysis for losses, near losses, and incidents.
  • Check personnel training records for compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, National Fire Protection Association, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, and site-specific training requirements.
  • Work with the safety manager and area safety directors to identify training improvements for internal personnel and subcontractors.
  • Support efforts to promote teamwork, continuity, and continuous improvement within the safety organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Credentials such as Certified Health and Safety Technician, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist, Safety Trained Supervisor Construction, Certified Safety and Health Official, Safety Management Specialist, Associate Safety Professional, or Certified Safety Professional are considered a plus.
  • Previous experience in industrial hygiene is considered a plus.
  • An associate degree or higher in safety technology is preferred.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree is acceptable in lieu of experience.
  • Willingness to travel is considered a plus.
