What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: The E&I Engineer must be interested in gaining experience in Process Safety Management (PSM), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and maintenance documentation. The ideal candidate must desire career development within maintenance, PSM, and equipment lifecycle management. This work will be performed under direct supervision in Conroe, TX.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Maintain and update Maintenance Inspection Procedures (MIPs), including assigning MIP numbers, managing indexes, and ensuring document accuracy.
Upload, revise, and route MIP and SIS documents through Meridian and approval workflows.
Support SIS documentation upkeep, including SRS, C&E matrices, loop sheets, and related drawings.
Use the Management of Change (MOC) process to track and document PSM‑related changes.
Verify SAP maintenance plans against critical equipment lists and help resolve discrepancies.
Organize and store valve repair reports and related maintenance records.
Provide basic support for electrical/instrument equipment documentation related to 480V/4160V systems, instrumentation, and automation assets.
Participate in field walkdowns with engineers or technicians to verify documentation accuracy.
Assist in tracking equipment integrity, inspections, and engineering documentation updates.
Support incident investigations by organizing technical data, repair history, and documentation.
Track project and documentation status to ensure timely completion.
Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure documentation accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related discipline preferred.
Experience: Relevant industrial experience in petrochemical, refining, or chemical plant environments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong rganizational and technical writing skills.
Familiarity with SAP, Meridian, KMS, and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to understand P&IDs, loop sheets, and instrumentation documentation.
Good interpersonal skills with patience and persistence.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
