WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- This Manager position requires an in-depth understanding of our Industrial Heat Tracing products, which are extensively used at industrial customer sites throughout Canada. You will lead a team that drives exceptional customer service and collaborates closely with the Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Care, and Tech Support teams. As the main point of contact, you will nurture positive relationships and teamwork across various departments.
Leadership, Team Management,and Performance Metrics:
- Serve as the Canadian functional leader for the Inside Sales Team, overseeing operations in Trenton and Edmonton.
- Lead the team responsible for handling orders, general inquiries, complaints, and price quotes.
- Follow up and report on key performance metrics, aligning with and improving standard global metrics.
- Oversee the management of the team to ensure alignment with performance goals.
- Recruit, hire, coach, mentor, develop, and lead a skilled Inside Sales team including manage staff performance to ensure a high performance. Assess training needs and provide ongoing support and feedback to team members
Process Standardization and Improvement:
- Lead the standardization of processes and procedures to create an environment of continuous improvement.
- Identify the people, processes, and technology capabilities required to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Ensure effective utilization of all resources, including employees, equipment, and materials, within budget, cost, and quality standards.
- Provide training and development plans to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Maintain excellent communication with manufacturing and sales teams across all North American Thermal Management locations regarding product status, including late orders and extended lead times.
- Connect and collaborate with peers at the nVent level, sharing best practices and seeking opportunities for improvement.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Quote and implement Field Support Services (FSS), product repairs, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) engineering services requests with priority Manage returns, warranty claims, and invoices efficiently and in a timely manner through the SAP Operating System.
- Partner in leading customer framework agreements, ensuring product and service validity periods to minimize margin erosion.
- Liaise with various internal departments for the detailed execution of service orders, including services and complex materials.
YOU HAVE:
- Ideally 3+ years of technical sales support or technical customer service experience in an electrical or industrial sales environment.
- Ideally 1+ years of experience leading direct reports.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in SAP, Open Invoice, and Ariba is an asset.
- Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM programs is an asset.
- Mechanical proficiency is an asset.
- Ability to work out of our Edmonton or Trenton CA office and travel 15% if needed on average.
