  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution with 8+ years of experience or 6+ years with MS degree.
  • Candidate must have experience in electronics design and test from architecture through implementation.
  • Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • Experience with special test equipment design/architecture to facilitate production testing of MIL rated components.
  • Candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods.
  • Cable design experience in Visio or Excel.
  • Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, design and integrate solutions that will successfully address a wide variety of customer challenges.
  • Primarily focused on electrical design and integration for the Enduring Shield ground based force protection system.
  • Participate in design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for other mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.
  • System level electrical design including cable design specification and cable drawings.
  • Parts selection and derating activities.
  • New hardware design verification testing.
  • Support system level integration activities.
  • STE (Special Test Equipment) design and assembly.
  • Radar system development.
  • High Power Microwave system development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with radar front-end and back-end architecture, design, and testing Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 and IPC J-STD-001 Standards.
  • Experience with RF path design, link budget analysis, noise figure, insertion loss, and signal purity calculations.
  • Familiarity with mil-spec component selection.
  • Familiarity with AS50881 NASA Derating Standard.
  • Cable design experience using SolidWorks Electrical, Creo Schematic, Draftsight.
