Requirements
  • Current licensure to practice as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician is required.
  • CRCST or equivalent certification is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated clinical and leadership skills is required.
  • Mandatory skills must be maintained, and the employee must remain current in practice and technology.
  • Active membership in IAHCSMM is required.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate care and resources for the operating room sterile processing unit in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
  • Identify and allocate environmental, technical, and personnel resources needed for operating room operations and colleagues.
  • Participate in quality assessment and improvement programs to evaluate the effectiveness of care delivered.
  • Encourage education and implement new concepts and technology.
  • Develop policies, procedures, standards of care, and critical paths to promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Document and communicate staff performance, including recommendations for quality and professional growth.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to foster staff development.
  • Develop unit staffing schedules that provide safe and fiscally sound staffing.
  • Conduct informational staff meetings and chair unit staff meetings in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
  • Identify staff educational needs and work with the Clinical Manager and Unit Teacher to promote learning.
  • Identify and resolve nursing-care conflicts and unit-related problems.
  • Contribute to staff appraisals and developmental goals.
  • Assist with the credentialing process and assess compliance with unit standards.
  • Participate in staff recruitment and retention.
  • Implement disciplinary action in accordance with hospital personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development of capital and operational budgets.
  • Monitor staff compliance with schedules through weekly payroll.
  • Provide unit management coverage in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
  • Communicate the status of unit operations, activities, and issues to the Clinical Manager or appropriate discipline.
  • Participate in unit management meetings and recommend fiscal and patient-care objectives, standards, and goals.
  • Participate in organizational committees and policy formation.
  • Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and other departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Remain current on concepts, techniques, and methods related to the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, and remove malfunctioning equipment from use for repair or replacement.
  • Ensure scheduled safety checks, including crash-cart checks and autoclave testing, are completed.
  • Make daily clinical assignments based on staff experience and patient acuity.
  • Assign staff to projects and committees supporting strategic and quality plans, and follow through on completion.
  • Investigate and document personnel concerns.
  • Counsel staff and implement disciplinary steps when appropriate in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
  • Provide input into hiring and termination decisions.
  • Perform performance reviews for ancillary staff and provide input into clinical staff evaluations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate use of incident reports, collate reports, and develop a monthly report.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures.
  • Recognize operational trends and discuss them with the Clinical Manager.
  • Support staff and assist with operational activities such as room turnover and breaks.
  • Share shift reports and schedule information in a timely manner.

(“TriSalus” or the “company”), an oncology company in the process of going public through a business combination transaction (the “Business Combination”) with MedTech Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MTAC) (“MedTech” or “MTAC”), today announced that it has expanded the reach of its ongoing Pressure-Enabled Regional Immuno-Oncology™ (“PERIO™-01” and “PERIO™-02”) clinical program.In recent months TriSalus has opened five new PERIO™-01 (NCT04935229) clinical trial sites, at Stanford University Hospitals, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Washington Medical Center and University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, in addition to five previously activated sites.
