Requirements
  • 4–6 years of experience in clinical trial recruitment, patient engagement, patient advocacy, or clinical operations, gained within a biotech, biopharma, contract research organization, recruitment vendor, or advocacy organization.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects end-to-end, including recruitment campaigns, advisory boards, patient-facing materials, or comparable workstreams, on time and with high attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of how clinical trials are designed, executed, and completed, with comfort using the technical vocabulary of a clinical protocol.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines, keeping stakeholders informed and workstreams unblocked.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical content into plain language and produce polished deliverables for senior audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, generative artificial intelligence tools, Notion, and SmartSheet.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent workstreams, prioritizing effectively and driving deliverables to completion with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
  • Support the build-out and day-to-day management of central recruitment campaigns for portfolio company trials, including tracking referral quality, monitoring campaign performance, and flagging enrollment risks to senior team members.
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for recruitment vendors and digital marketing partners by managing timelines, deliverables, and reporting cadences under the direction of the Associate Director.
  • Draft and produce recruitment materials, advertisements, and educational resources that translate technical clinical trial content into clear, accessible language for patients and caregivers.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers that monitor enrollment velocity across the portfolio and surface early warning signs of trial stalls.
  • Coordinate the logistics and execution of patient advisory boards, focus groups, and surveys, including participant scheduling, honoraria, note-taking, synthesis, and readout preparation.
  • Aggregate and summarize patient and caregiver insights into actionable briefs, slide decks, and protocol recommendations for senior team members and portfolio companies.
  • Support landscape mapping of advocacy groups in target therapeutic areas.
  • Help maintain the network of patient advocacy organizations and Key Patient Opinion Leaders by tracking touchpoints, preparing meeting materials, and drafting outreach and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain project trackers, coordinate cross-workstream timelines, prepare status updates, and organize a high volume of concurrent portfolio requests.
  • Support the creation of scalable, pre-competitive resources such as toolkits, templates, and playbooks for multiple portfolio companies.
  • Conduct desk research on competitive trial landscapes, advocacy group mapping, vendor scans, and regulatory updates, and package findings for team and portfolio use.
  • Assist in piloting and administering the team's technology stack, including artificial intelligence-enabled tools, recruitment platforms, and internal dashboards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry experience in a biotech, biopharma, contract research organization, recruitment vendor, or advocacy organization.
  • A preferred advanced degree such as an MPH, MBA, or MHA; it is not required.
  • Exposure to both the recruitment/operations side and the advocacy/insights side of patient engagement.
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms, patient registries, decentralized clinical trial tools, or digital marketing analytics.
  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced venture or startup environments.
  • Experience in Rare Disease, Oncology, or Neurology/Central Nervous System therapeutic areas.

AusperBio raises $120M Series C to advance hepatitis B therapy towards commercialisation

AusperBio Therapeutics has closed a $120 million Series C financing round to advance its lead hepatitis B therapy, AHB-137, towards commercialisation. The financing was led by an unnamed strategic investor, with participation from new investor RA Capital Management and existing backers including HanKang Capital and Qiming Venture Partners. The proceeds will support AHB-137's Phase 3 registrational programme and commercialisation readiness. Funds will also accelerate development of AHB-171, the company's investigational siRNA candidate, and advance combination therapies for chronic hepatitis B. With this round, AusperBio has raised $360 million since 2024. The San Francisco-based biotech is developing oligonucleotide therapeutics targeting chronic hepatitis B, which affects an estimated 254 million people worldwide. AHB-137 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3 trial in China.
