Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field from an ABET-accredited program is required.
  • Engineering experience in the automotive industry is required.
  • Candidates must understand customer wants and vehicle development programs.
  • Candidates must understand vehicle system connectivity.
  • Experience testing automotive components and features is required.
  • Candidates must be able to use Vector CANoe and CANalyzer.
  • Candidates must understand operational architecture, use-case definition, and vehicle and software life cycles.
  • Candidates must be able to summarize and present work.
  • Candidates must be able to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimal assistance.
Responsibilities
  • Perform connected services validation for features including Vehicle Access/Start, Vehicle Security, voice-of-the-customer development, customer functional-objective target setting, and test-plan execution.
  • Support vehicle integration and validation by maintaining the functional-objective library, validating test plans and procedures, supporting tech club activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new features for next-generation vehicles.
  • Support Platform Engineers in identifying vehicle issues within the assigned domain.
  • Support required ride-and-drive events.
  • Conduct benchmarking activities for the assigned domain.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field from an ABET-accredited university is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation, process validation, DVPR, and test planning is preferred.
  • One year of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in feature design, system design, or integration is preferred.
  • Embedded software development experience is preferred.
  • DFSS Green Belt is preferred.
