Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Human Resources Management or a closely related field of study
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Talent Acquisition Technician, or a related occupation within the financial services industry
  • Employment experience with cross functional and global recruiting within the realms of Investment, Technology, and Corporate roles in the Financial Services Industry
  • Drafting and executing employment contracts for individuals located in Paris and Montreal
  • Full recruitment life cycle - planning, coordinating, driving the recruitment processes, sourcing and hiring passive talent, developing recruiting strategies, building and driving talent sourcing initiatives, providing training and coaching opportunities for colleagues
  • Planning and executing on-campus recruitment projects and events in the US and Canada
  • Assessing candidate’s suitability for specific open positions using knowledge of hedge funds, asset classes and financial markets
  • Coordinating and maintaining relationships with external recruitment agencies to source high-quality candidates
  • Utilizing the following recruitment tools: LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday and Greenhouse, Confluence and Concur
Responsibilities
  • Recruit and hire for Investment, Technology and Corporate roles, including Quantitative Researcher, Intern Quant Researcher, Desk Quant Analyst, Discretionary Trader, Software Developer, Legal Counsel, and Financial Analyst
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior researchers/trader employees to define specific departmental hiring needs and understand the qualifications necessary for successful candidates
  • Create engaging and detailed job descriptions and establish effective interview processes to attract talent
  • Review applicant resumes and conduct screenings for selected candidates to evaluate their skillsets
  • Utilize recruitment software and databases to effectively manage open applicant cases, ensuring a positive candidate experience while maintaining data accuracy
  • Track candidate pipelines for each role to ensure that candidates move through stages efficiently while maintaining thoroughness and accuracy in gathering information
  • Participate in ad hoc interview scheduling and coordination
  • Coordinate with external recruitment agencies to source high-quality candidates
  • Source high-quality candidates through passive recruitment outlets, such as conferences, LinkedIn, and other job boards
  • Participate in the planning and execution of on-campus recruitment events and maintain relationships with highly rated universities
  • Represent Squarepoint at conference events throughout the year to promote the Squarepoint brand as well as the professional investment opportunities offered by the company
  • Maintain and apply a detailed understanding of quantitative investment professional qualifications to the company’s recruitment processes
