Requirements
  • Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in development and production testing within a relevant engineering sector (Aerospace, Automotive, Test Equipment). With particular experience in the provision of test equipment solutions for multi-axis, closed loop, servo-hydraulic and electromechanical Test Systems
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for successful deployment of test equipment for use by customers within Moog facilities and external customers across the globe. Successful is defined as customer accepted and ready for transfer to Sustainment.
  • Attendance and participation at Critical Design Reviews (CDR) as an entry point.
  • Support assembly of test equipment that is normally performed by technicians. Act as interface between the assembly process and design engineering to provide clarification and resolve issues that arise during assembly.
  • Integration test support of Design Engineering (task owner) as required.
  • Responsible for formal Verification Test Procedures, formal testing and Verification Test Report, including driving resolution on all requirements that are not successfully verified leading to Verification Test complete.
  • Support of customer validation including coordination of correlation testing, where applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring all documentation and software is complete, fully released and product conforms to released documentation.
  • Responsible for calibration procedure generation, checkout, verification and release. Identification of all external equipment necessary to perform calibration.
  • Accountable for deployment site pre-installation survey and facility readiness coordination leading to successful installation and functionality. Includes identification of specific local rules and regulations that may impact installation and usage.
  • Perform user training and related documentation that may include user and maintenance manuals.
  • Responsible for spare parts recommendation list submittal to the customer and Sustainment group.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with defined processes, generation of technical documentation, and reporting.
  • Accountable to the Site Engineering Manager –Test Equipment Deployment Engineering.
  • Maintain and control configuration management of test equipment throughout development and until deployed for customer use.
  • Upholding, fostering and cultivating the Moog culture and philosophy within their function. This includes the values of: Trust, Competence, Team Spirit, Diligence, Accountability, Effective Communication, Adaptability, Recognition and Enjoyment.
  • Support continuous improvement of AG TE Deployment processes, procedures, and standard tools in coordination with the AG TE Deployment Global Lead.
  • To ensure that test equipment is effectively installed, inspected and transferred to the Customer(s) at the completion of every project unless otherwise stated.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and compliance with the legal requirements at development and deployment locations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Interdisciplinary engineering experience (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Systems)
  • Master of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace/defense manufacturing industry strongly preferred
  • Proactive problem solving and resolution skills, with the ability to exercise mature judgement
  • Understand cultures and local norms associated with work in foreign (to US) locations
  • Key challenges include the need to work in a matrixed organization with possible conflicting demands
  • Proven ability to work in close cooperation with customers while representing one’s company in a positive light even under difficult situations
