Consulting Services practice teams advocate for and build relationships with current and prospective Nordic project-based consultants and oversee consultant hiring, placement, and career development. The Practice Specialist provides administrative and operational support to one or more practice teams. The Practice Specialist works under the leadership of the Practice Manager or Senior Practice Manager to help ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Our team is currently recruiting for a Practice Specialist to support our Digital Health/ERP practices.
Key Responsibilities
The Practice Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Daily management of time-sensitive and often competing priorities including but not limited to opportunity management, consultant relationship management, and other internal commitments
- Participating in opportunity management by collaborating with Staffing Services and Client Partnerships teammates to interpret the needs of a client and identify candidates and consultants whose skillset, experience, preferences, and priorities align with the need
- Providing timely and accurate documentation to internal partners for submission to clients
- Establishing and cultivating consultant relationships through recurring and ad hoc communication
- Working in collaboration with candidates and consultants to draft, update, and white glove resumes
- Managing, reviewing, and guiding consultants on status report, engagement completion, handoff, and transition documentation requirements
- Maintaining up-to-date consultant data and information in Nordic’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, including but not limited to: regular communication summaries, loss information, project availability dates, and reference checks
- Creating internal and consultant-facing documents such as expense authorizations and contract addenda
- Scheduling and organizing practice-related meetings and conference calls and assisting with calendar management
- Scheduling and communicating candidate interviews, regular consultant check-ins, and other candidate and consultant-facing communication as needed
- Ensuring adherence to current business processes and participating in process improvement initiatives
- Serving as operational backup for other Practice Specialists
- Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other practice initiatives as necessary
Skills and Experience
- Must embody and demonstrate Nordic’s Maxims
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required
- 2 years’ experience in professional services or customer support in a professional office setting required
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a focus on customer service
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting customer service commitments and project timelines
- Able to work well under pressure and within time constraints in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computers, email, correspondence, and spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
