We are now seeking a HV Commissioning Manager to join our APAC Mission Critical Team. This candidate can be based out of either Sydney or Melbourne.
Position Summary
This position provides overall direction and management of assigned commissioning projects specialising in High Voltage infrastructure from initial engagement through turn over to the client. The Lead HV Commissioning Manager will drive the development of the programme test schedule, finalise test procedures, review project submittals for consistency with the design intent, basis of design and the owner's project requirements, and maintain overall responsibility for staff resources across APAC.
The APAC HV Commissioning Manager must work with the HV & LV Electrical & Mechanical Leads to ensure project operation parameters are well understood by all test engineers, vendors, and contractors on the project. Must possess ability to drive results with sensitivity to meeting tight timelines and openness to lead customer/contractor meetings and resolve customer and management project issues.
Responsibilities & Requirements
•\tBe the Point of Contact for all HV SME activities within the business across the APAC region.
•\tHave an in-depth, hands-on knowledge of testing and commissioning Primary and Secondary HV systems.
•\tLead a team of HV Commissioning Engineers to perform works across the APAC region.
•\tBe able to explain the nuances of HV Commissioning processes to Data Centre clients in a clear, simple manner.
•\tManagement of health, safety & environmental issues.
•\tTake proactive action to ensure zero harm to all employees, customers, contractors and the environment.
•\tPerform a project risk assessment and take appropriate control measures before starting any major testing & Commissioning.
•\tManage the project budget to include all change orders.
•\tDefine commissioning plans including resourcing and scheduling.
•\tLead commissioning effort to achieve on time project handover in accordance with the customer requirements.
•\tOversee complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of High Voltage infrastructure.
•\tLead QA/QC process.
•\tAssist with the development of tender proposals and pricing.
•\tDevelop and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and field personnel to develop additional business for the \tcompany with a focus on High Voltage projects.
