Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of eight to ten years of progressive experience in a dedicated accounting or finance function is required, including prior experience as a Controller or senior finance leader at a manufacturing site.
  • Strong working knowledge of United States generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls, inventory and cost accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis is required.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems is required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, compliance, and auditing is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and diagnose problems is required.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial and personnel information appropriately is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines in a compressed corporate reporting calendar is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed is required.
Responsibilities
  • Own the Site's month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, delivered accurately and within corporate deadlines.
  • Own general ledger integrity and technical accounting at the Site, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, inventory valuation, accruals, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliation quality.
  • Prepare and submit Site financial results, flash estimates, and rolling forecasts through Amphenol's consolidation and reporting platform, SAP BPC, and reconcile reported results.
  • Own inventory accounting and associated control routines, including excess and obsolete reserve methodology, the cycle count program, work order aging, and review of production activity for accuracy.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment at the Site; perform periodic self-assessment and certification of business unit controls and procedures; and serve as the Site lead for internal audit, including preparation, walkthroughs, and timely closure of findings.
  • Review Site accounting policies and procedures for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and consistency with corporate policy across cash, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other areas.
  • Partner with Trexon Corporate Finance to implement new procedures where required.
  • Lead the Site's annual budget, rolling forecast, and multi-year strategic planning processes in partnership with the General Manager and Sales lead.
  • Partner with the General Manager and department leaders on operational and commercial decisions, including pricing and quoting, program and customer profitability, make-versus-buy analysis, capital requests, headcount, and cost initiatives.
  • Own operational finance analytics for the Site, including product, program, and customer margin; labor and overhead absorption; material cost and purchase price variance; scrap and rework; and productivity measures.
  • Use operational finance analytics to drive improvements in gross margin, operating profit, and working capital.
  • Own Site working capital performance, including accounts receivable collections, inventory levels and turns, and cash forecasting, working with the centralized corporate Accounts Payable team.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations at the Site, including bank reconciliations, cash applications, accounts receivable, and coordination with centralized corporate functions.
  • Leverage the Site's enterprise resource planning system, Epicor, and reporting tools to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness of financial and operational information.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and automate financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local sales and use tax reporting requirements, and support tax, treasury, insurance, and external audit requests.
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor finance staff, and scale the finance function in step with business growth.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Certified Public Accountant credential or Master of Business Administration degree is preferred.
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience is preferred.
  • Public company experience is preferred.
  • Aerospace, defense, or space end-market experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Epicor is preferred.
  • Experience with consolidation and corporate reporting platforms is preferred; SAP BPC experience is a plus.
