- A Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
- At least 3 years of broad-spectrum family medicine experience is required.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- A current Nurse Practitioner license is required.
- Experience with adults, pediatrics, and/or family practice is required.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams is required.
- Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
- Provide primary healthcare to acutely ill and chronically stable patients collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical problems.
- Monitor chronic diseases.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe and select medications, immunizations, and other treatments.
- Educate and counsel patients to promote positive health behaviors and disease prevention.
- Perform and complete routine physical and follow-up examinations.
- Order diagnostic tests, X-rays, therapeutic injections, and immunizations based on patient symptoms or illness.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to obtain needed services for patients and families.
- Maintain accurate medical records containing pertinent patient history, physical findings, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Refer patients to specialists in accordance with referral policy when necessary.
- Use, protect, and disclose patients' protected health information only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards.
- Consult with the attending physician as necessary.
- Perform additional assigned duties.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
