Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products is required.
  • Previous exposure to the Intellectual Property field or an office environment is preferred.
  • The role requires strong problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee information disclosure statement processes, including reference management and document drafting.
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with the prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents.
  • Assist with preparing routine correspondence to clients and foreign associates.
  • Assist with preparing and filing legal documents at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Assist with reviewing and reporting documents received from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Provide support to Intellectual Property team members with special projects and coverage.
  • Consistently achieve the firm's billable-hour expectation, including approved non-billable time.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, and/or Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
