PRN Server

Description

Join our team! Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC. We are currently seeking PRN Servers to staff our Dining Services in Independent Living. Varied shifts available; must be willing to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.  You will be providing exceptional service, therefore, serving experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, but not required. We are looking for friendly people who enjoy working with our senior population. Servers are responsible for table service in the community dining rooms and assist in maintaining high level of customer service for employees, residents and their guests.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order. Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
• Takes orders, provides service and requested items graciously and courteously. Answers pertinent questions about menu items.
• Completes all assigned cleaning task. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Completes in-service training and educational sessions as assigned.
• All other duties assigned include, but not limited to, enhancing the Resident Experience.

Requirements

• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; will train.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
