Business Operations Specialist

Job location: our office in Ottawa, Canada. We work in a hybrid model, therefore you will be expected to be in the office of 3 days per week

About the team

As Business Operations Specialist, you will contribute to our Kinaxis Office of Strategy and be part of an energetic team that focuses on our Academic Program plus Thought Leadership and Industry Outreach (TLIO).

Reporting to our Senior Director, Industry Outreach and Academic Alliances, you will contribute to the voice of why Kinaxis matters to professors and students across the globe. You will play a role in advocating and tracking our academic reach and influence. You will have the unique opportunity to analyze academic/ student inquiries and identify emerging teaching trends to inspire the next generation of supply chain leaders. You will contribute to the talent acquisition of future supply chain, data, and analytics leaders for Kinaxis and our customers.

Additionally, you will exemplify our brand values and amplify Kinaxis thought leadership when supporting academic-industry collaborations/ events and TLIO forums. You will collaborate across our team and demonstrate a passion for executing.

What you will do

• Expand brand credibility by making thought leadership assets easy to access using company tools like Highspot.
• Coordinate all aspects of Kinaxis guest lectures in the classroom – from pre-guest lecture communications to sending post guest lecture survey and evaluating results.
• Collaborate with Marketing to send outreach communications to our academic and thought leadership communities. Capture the voice of the customer and our Kinaxis culture in all communications. Apply knowledge of data privacy policies.
• Collaborate with our Talent Acquisition team on ideas to identify future talent and build talent pipeline.
• Coordinate across the TLIO team and support event planning for various outreach.
• Drive efficient ways of tracking team metrics and manage consistent and accurate inputs to Wrike.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, communications, journalism, operations, marketing, supply chain, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience managing projects with attention to detail and contributing to a team with an innovative mindset. Note: Event management experience a plus.
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Adept in Power Point, Miro, and social media communications. Plus, experience tracking and communicating metrics in Wrike. Technical knowledge of Wrike is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and use collaborative tools. Comfortable using knowledge management tools such as Confluence and communication portals such as Highspot.
