Requirements
  • A Veterinary Medical Degree (DVM/VMD or foreign equivalent) is required.
  • State licensure in good standing or eligibility for such licensure is required for all states serving clinics under supervision.
  • DEA licensure and a Controlled Dangerous Substances certificate are required if needed for all states serving clinics under supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, effective, patient- and client-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable veterinary care by all team members.
  • Mentor and develop Associate Veterinarians through side-by-side coaching, feedback sessions, and regular case discussions.
  • Participate in a Performance Improvement Process to address performance issues within the team and maintain a high-performing team.
  • Organize and conduct regular doctor and team meetings to foster and strengthen positive hospital culture.
  • Contribute to the development of new practice protocols and guidelines and implement them efficiently and engagingly.
  • Partner with the Clinic Manager to deliver an excellent client experience, including handling client complaints when applicable.
  • Participate in talent acquisition efforts for Doctors and, when appropriate, support staff.
  • Create and maintain the Clinic Doctor Schedule to balance hospital needs with the needs of Associate Veterinarians.
  • Act as an ambassador of Bond Vet within the veterinary community and the public.
  • Ensure awareness of and compliance with DEA and state practice-act requirements among team members.
  • Foster a culture committed to the safety of team members, pets, and clients.

  • 3-5+ years of clinical veterinary experience.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience.
