Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (for example energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and the employer will not sponsor visas (no H-1B or TN visas).
  • The ability to pass background checks and drug testing as required; background checks may include criminal, employment, education, licensure, and may include credit and motor vehicle checks where applicable.
  • The role may require or require ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance) or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word; and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio, or the ability to quickly learn these tools.
  • Strong project management competencies including problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, and knowledge of energy sector operations.
Responsibilities
  • Manage workforce-related programs, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met efficiently; align with Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening Support Functional Area initiatives; oversee deliverables, and ensure alignment with Department of Energy priorities and timelines.
  • Provide Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, as well as Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services and support for the Department of Energy Office of Policy.
  • Build tools and perform analysis to address workforce transitions and align energy policies with economic priorities; support DOE initiatives with analysis, collaboration, and strategic implementation.
  • Support DOE policy initiatives with analysis, collaboration, and strategic implementation; develop analyses and coordinate initiatives to align with project objectives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with DOE objectives; participate in cross-functional collaboration and high-level DOE strategy discussions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in energy, policy, and technical consulting; domain expertise in energy and policy.
  • Experience with data tracking tools, workforce policy analysis, and convening in government or energy sector settings.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and strong communication abilities; analytical thinking and subject matter expertise in energy domains.
