Requirements
  • Any graduation.
  • A minimum of 7–8 years of experience in training design and development.
  • Practical training or learning industry experience.
  • Experience managing a team of 2–3 people.
  • Basic project management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of project management tools, including work planning and resource scheduling.
  • Experience working with global clients using a consultative approach.
  • Experience developing training solutions for global audiences, including adjusting materials for cultural needs, regional constraints, localization, and translation considerations.
  • Solid knowledge of instructional design techniques, adult learning theory, and web-based development tools.
  • Ability to create high-level and detailed designs.
  • Extensive experience with at least two instructional approaches, such as web-based, instructor-led, or virtual instructor-led training.
  • Experience designing digital learning approaches, including videos, microlearning, simulations, and gamified learning.
  • Working knowledge of editorial requirements, language, and grammar.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail for quality assurance.
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions with client subject-matter experts and sponsors to set expectations and ensure appropriate involvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day planning and execution of multiple training development efforts according to defined processes, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop instructional materials.
  • Design and implement instructional strategies, curricula, and learning materials aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and other learning resources.
  • Use innovative learning tools and products to deliver instructional information based on learning activities and approaches that support organizational learning goals.
  • Prepare design documents that meet business requirements.
  • Conduct audience and needs analyses to confirm the appropriateness of learning objectives as required.
  • Present course and curriculum designs to stakeholders and subject-matter experts to gather input and finalize designs.
  • Facilitate content gathering from subject-matter experts to create course designs.
  • Identify learning objectives based on business drivers and performance goals, and map course content to appropriate learning objectives.
  • Create mockups and prototypes to support design and ideation as needed.
  • Create detailed work plans based on budget and resource plans.
  • Set expectations with the team regarding budget and course schedules.
  • Manage course-content development and facilitate media requirements according to project work plans and schedules.
  • Review training deliverables for completeness, structure, instructional approach, visualization, writing style, standards compliance, language, grammar, functionality, and usability of e-learning builds.
  • Manage team members’ work efforts to maintain project scope.
  • Coordinate project activities among media, technology, project management, client onsite or business-interlock, and delivery teams.
  • Manage communication with clients and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide coaching to team members on processes, quality metrics, and individual development areas.
  • Report status and identify potential risks and mitigation recommendations.
  • Provide regular feedback on team performance and suggest action items.

  • A degree in Instructional Design, Cognitive Psychology, English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
