About the Key Account Manager role:
The soona key account manager drives revenue and upsells with soona’s existing customers. They are responsible for creating and executing a strategic plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets. This role will work closely with other departments to ensure a successful client experience that results in revenue growth and retention. This person is competitive, but also motivates all teams to achieve ambitious targets. A successful key account manager has an ownership mentality of their accounts and does not wait for the business to come to them. by driving a successful outreach process for themselves, they will be responsible for uncovering and expanding their book of business.
The key account manager manages their book of business and is responsible for a one-to-one strategy of creating and growing the value of every key account. This role supports pre-production of key accounts and serves as the account manager for key accounts. The key account manager uses data to derive insights, identify areas of opportunity and execute tests that improve the client experience and grow revenue. This role owns and reports on their pipeline, identifies the gaps and determines the levers to achieve their quota. The key account manager must be passionate about making the internet a more beautiful place and is relentless in the drive to help our clients maximize their success. They will work with new sales on a seamless handoff process after they onboard the client. The key account manager will solicit, welcome, embrace, and action both giving and receiving feedback.
Success in this role is achieved through consistently hitting revenue targets. This role reports to the senior manager of accounts.
soona is currently supporting a remote work environment for this role; however, we are currently looking to hire in these states only: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin with requirements to be able to work in MST or CST time zones. for flex hybrid work environments, we also have office/studio spaces in Austin, Denver or Minneapolis, if that’s your thing.

An ideal candidate can:
- Create and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly quota
- Show month over month improvements to soona’s core KPIs in addition to revenue (AOV, checkout rate, lifetime value, retention, conversion and customer satisfaction)
- Act as account manager and grow long-lasting relationships with key accounts to drive redemption and renewal
- Negotiate and close large enterprise deals
- Proficiently use a CRM to track pipeline, performance, client behavior and opportunities
- Work closely with fellow departments to drive the best possible client experience, identify blockers and gaps within the team and develop plans for solving them
- Provide consistent strategic insights on the client experience and business performance to help soona grow and optimize our business while delighting customers
- Draw insights from data to determine areas of opportunity and action to drive revenue outcomes
- Coach individual studio creative team members to continually improve the client experience for key accounts
- Collaborate with key leaders on solutions to address areas of opportunity (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors, satisfaction or quality control complaints)
Has experience in:
- 2+ years experience in SaaS B2B sales & account management
- 5+ years previous experience in sales
- Previous experience carrying a $1M+ quota and consistently achieving targets
- Has experience managing a book of business of 75+ key accounts
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis to draw insights to make meaningful decisions
- Competitive by nature and excited to hit big targets
- Effective decision maker with a history of driving results
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously through successful prioritization
- Thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing startup environment
- Proficient with G Suite and spreadsheet data dives
- Has experience and excels in both phone, video, and email outreach
- Photo and video production experience a plus
- Access to a reliable internet connection
- B.A. preferred
We can offer:
- Starting Base Salary: $80,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $140,000/year (includes base salary plus additional performance-based incentives/commission)
