Requirements
  • Bachelors with 15+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 13+ years or PhD with 10+ years in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree required. BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science strongly recommended.
  • Prior NAND Flash with Storage (SSD/HDD) engineering experience strongly recommended.
  • Must be generally familiar with semiconductor testing processes, various FA techniques, and general semiconductor fabrication technology/processing.
Responsibilities
  • Enable global sales by collaborating directly with the customer's design/development engineers and Samsung’s Product Planning, Marketing, and Sales teams to assure the optimal Samsung storage (SLC/MLC/TLC NAND Flash, eMMC, UFS, as well as future memory technologies), products are designed into the customer's systems.
  • Work to identify the most optimal solution considering key variables such as storage type, capacity, performance, power, cost effectivity, lifecycle, and availability; all while emphasizing Samsung's business and technological interests.
  • Support data sheets, sample requests/management, simulation models, FA reports, etc, with the customer to facilitate successful design-ins and qualifications.
  • Manage qualification issues at the customer and support resolution of customer qualification failures.
  • Negotiate priority between multiple qualifications with customer based on achieving Samsung’s critical and strategic needs.
  • Strive to assure Samsung is qualified in every possible storage application.
  • Manage qualifications at customer sites, including those at their various subcontractors (ODMs, CMs, etc.).
  • Report qualification status and estimated qualification completions to Samsung management on a regular basis, highlighting obstacles and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with key design/development engineers and managers. This is accomplished through daily interactions and providing exceptional customer support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Samsung Korea HQ counterparts to ensure efficient and accurate communication with the customer.
