Requirements
  • 3-5 years of direct experience in an operations capacity
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to improving accuracy of data and preventing errors
  • Familiarity and comfort with investment accounting, reporting, and performance concepts

  • High level of proficiency in Excel including working in complex models and the ability to calculate investment performance/metrics
  • Experience with software systems relevant to investment/risk management, including Bloomberg, is desirable

Responsibilities
  • Maintain gross and net manager performance and analytics in various systems and models to produce performance and risk packets
  • Maintain equity manager portfolios on Bloomberg, weekly investment dashboard, fee look-through and yield models, model portfolio performance slides, and produce other portfolio-level investment reporting
  • Maintain and update quarterly fund review slides for all BBH-approved managers, monthly manager ratings matrix, and monthly performance
  • Update and distribute reports on AUM (by manager and investment platform), deviations vs. target allocations, and KPIs (including risk/look-through analyses on Bloomberg)
  • Track and maintain investment-related information on central spreadsheets and databases
  • Examine and analyze, audited financial statements, and other financial reports and documents of individual funds/managers to supplement the portfolio monitoring processes
  • Produce attribution reports and maintain various risk metrics to assist the investment team in making informed decisions
  • Assist with investment sizing recommendations based on analyses of potential demand
  • Review and research portfolio compliance alerts
  • Partner closely with the investment team to oversee and optimize investment operations processes
  • Continuously assess internal processes to identify and achieve operational efficiencies
  • Assist with project management and identify operational needs associated with new investments, portfolio activity, and exits; Assist in overseeing and tracking all deliverables related to new manager launches and manager redemptions
  • Facilitate the flow of information to the various operations, accounting, and trading teams and BBH Investor Services, and provide support for audits, as needed
  • Maintain and update the team’s desk manual, procedures, and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), as appropriate
  • Serve as a liaison to the Operational Due Diligence team in tracking operational due diligence on existing and high priority prospective managers
  • Maintain and update the IRG marketing portal and ensure resource documents are kept current
  • Maintain and drive best practices within the team research management system (Bipsync)
  • Identify industry trends and technology needs in order to lead process improvements and technology projects, including vetting and selection, and implementation of technology vendors
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an external IRG webpage
  • Maintain and upload accurate portfolio data to client reporting tools
