  • A bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology/Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of packaging engineering experience within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
  • Proficiency with packaging design software such as 3D computer-aided design, material science, sustainability practices, and general statistical software.
  • Familiarity with packaging laboratory equipment and testing protocols.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support all aspects of new technical packaging development and existing line maintenance.
  • Manage packaging revisions for existing stock-keeping units.
  • Update primary, secondary, and tertiary component specifications and Bills of Materials to align with business requirements.
  • Maintain the Packaging Technical System, including technical drawings, packaging specifications, fill capacities, minimum and maximum torque specifications, and filling process tolerances.
  • Generate new Bills of Materials and manage internal Bill of Materials revision requests.
  • Distribute physical packaging standards to cross-functional departments.
  • Manage the status of package testing for new and existing programs.
  • Track and evaluate component testing results for form, fit, function, and decoration integrity against established criteria.
  • Ensure the timely status and completion of compatibility, dispensing, decoration adhesion, and transit testing for new product launches.
  • Collaborate with the packaging team to evaluate test results and authorize final packaging release.
  • Support the resolution of packaging quality issues by troubleshooting component discrepancies with Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers and recommending timely, cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain and update the package development tracker weekly.
  • Assist with preparing meeting agendas and documenting notes for supplier meetings.
  • Act as a key support contact for packaging suppliers and obtain capabilities, pricing, lead times, specifications, and samples.
  • Support the management of complex projects and ensure innovative packaging solutions are delivered within established timelines.
  • Research and identify sustainable packaging technologies that can improve perceived value, performance, quality, cost-efficiency, and profitability.
