Requirements
  • Master or higher in Mechanical engineering, or related engineering fields
  • Experience in CAD, analytical software and numerical simulation
  • Understanding of base thermal-mechanical properties, including heat transfer, mechanical deformation and mechanical stress
  • Understanding base thermal-mechanical properties of integrated device structure
  • Experience in thermal-mechanical simulation
  • Base understanding of Hard disk drive
  • English proficiency. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to work on the resolution of any issue and to interact with various interdepartmental teams and support organizations.
  • Proficiency with 3D mechanical design software is desirable (Solid works, ANSYS, AutoCAD).
  • Proficiency with basic electrical design.
  • Technical report and presentation proficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Build and optimize thin film magnetic head TM model and analyze/verify the TM performance.
  • Introduce new TM concepts and improvements into design for new products.
  • Provide the TM design and performance summary package.
  • Work with cross functional teams including head wafer design, process, back-end process and testing teams to fabricate and validate the new design.
