What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Relationship Manager and Loan Servicing Liaison to join our Lending Finance team at Cross River. This role will serve as an integral part of the Lender Finance team’s Underwriting and Loan Processing, supporting the team with sourcing, originating, and servicing its portfolio of multi-family, retail, and mixed-use commercial real estate loans.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and ensure loan(s) are properly underwritten and approved per company guidelines
- Initiate loan funding activity and ensure loan is booked in accordance with underwriting approval
- Communicate with servicing to initiate advances to borrowers, collect paid down payments from borrowers, and ensure proper billing
- Assist with various levels of internal and external reporting requirements
- Assist in preparation of presentation materials for credit committee review and approval
- Order necessary searches to complete the underwriting process
- Proactively identify and resolve risk management and client service issues
- Assist with department-wide projects and initiatives, as required by management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of relevant proven commercial lending experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete them on time
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of personnel
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficiency required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Bank policies, procedures and banking regulations
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred
