OpenTable is an online platform that connects diners with a wide range of restaurants for reservations. Diners can browse restaurants, read reviews, explore menus, and book tables, all through the site. Restaurants gain access to a booking tool that helps manage reservations and optimize seating. Diners use the platform for free, while restaurants pay a subscription to be listed and may incur additional charges based on the number of reservations processed through OpenTable. OpenTable also benefits from being part of Booking Holdings, which provides a large network and infrastructure. The company’s goal is to make dining easier by helping people find and reserve tables and by giving restaurants a simple way to manage bookings and grow their business.

Tablevoice, an AI host for restaurants, has partnered with OpenTable to help establishments convert phone calls into bookings. The integration allows Tablevoice's AI to handle reservations in real time, confirming bookings directly in OpenTable whilst maintaining a warm, on-brand tone. The system manages complex requests including chef's tables, tasting menus and alternative location suggestions when venues are full. All calls are logged in Tablevoice's Team Inbox, allowing floor staff to focus on in-person service rather than answering phones. The partnership addresses a significant revenue opportunity, as OpenTable's 2026 Dining Trends Report shows experiential dining rose 46% year-over-year in 2025. Tablevoice captures this demand by ensuring no calls go to voicemail during busy service periods. Tablevoice serves over 60,000 restaurants globally.
OpenTable has launched OpenTable Media, a new advertising and brand partnership platform connecting brands with diners through customised campaigns across the reservation journey. The offering marks the first time the restaurant tech platform has enabled paid partnerships and advertising. OpenTable Media allows brands to create campaigns across multiple touchpoints, from discovery to booking, using first-party data for precise targeting. Solutions range from on-site advertisements and email marketing to custom branded experiences and pop-ups. Early pilot partners included Diageo, Ghirardelli and Cobra Beer, with some experiential activations selling out within minutes. The platform serves over 60,000 restaurants worldwide and facilitates 1.9 billion reservations annually. OpenTable positions the media network as a sustainable growth area whilst adding value for diners and restaurants.
Distil.ai partners with OpenTable - brings ai-powered revenue forecasting to restaurant groups. Distil.ai, the Cardiff-headquartered and Exeter-founded data platform for restaurant groups, has struck a strategic partnership with Open Table. The collaboration introduced a new tool called 'Distil Diagnostics', which for operators translates into sharper five-week cover and revenue forecasts, and overview of availability blockers at group, venue and service level. The tool, built on actual market demand, not just historical trading patterns, is now powered by booking patterns, search demand and performance benchmarks from 60,000+ OpenTable restaurants worldwide. Gerry McNicol, founder and CEO of Distil.ai, said: "The future of hospitality isn't about collecting more data; it's about transforming data into foresight. Restaurant groups need to see what's coming - not after the fact, but in time to act. "Our partnership with OpenTable gives us access to market intelligence at a scale that is truly unprecedented. By combining real-time benchmarking and demand signals from tens of thousands of restaurants with our forecasting engine, we are redefining what's possible for operators. "In an industry where every cover counts, this level of intelligence moves restaurants from reacting to demand to anticipating it. It empowers leaders to make earlier, smarter decisions with confidence - bringing the kind of predictive capability to hospitality that supply chains have long relied on to keep supermarket shelves stocked." Robin Chiang, chief growth officer for OpenTable, said: "We're proud to help group operators move beyond the era of labor-intensive manual forecasting. With access to real-time industry benchmarks from OpenTable, operators can now focus their energy on strategic decision-making rather than data entry. Having this level of insight at their fingertips provides the edge they need to thrive in the current market."
