Fielding Manager and System Administrator SME
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)? We’re looking for a system administrator to build and maintain the infrastructure solutions that meet customer needs and take advantage of cloud capabilities and services to help us maintain ISR capabilities.
As a system administrator on our team, you’ll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in the latest cloud technologies, as you look for ways to improve your customer’s environment using cloud capabilities and services. You’ll be able to sharpen your skills in computer programming and scripting languages while developing critical systems for the Air Force. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we improve and optimize for the next generation of ISR. This position will require travel of up to 25% of the time.

You Have:
- 15+ years of experience with IT systems administration, including installing, troubleshooting, and debugging computer systems
- 5+ years of experience with VMware products, including vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN and Veeam
- 5+ years of experience with Linux, including RHEL, Windows, directory services, and PKI
- 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Ansible and Satellite, and scripting, including BASH or Python
- Experience with advanced Linux command line, Windows system administration, OpenLDAP, AD directory services, and PKI
- Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- IAT Level ll certification in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M such as Sec + CE or MCSA
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with database management, DogTag PKI, or Distributed File Systems
- Experience with advanced Linux command line, Windows system administration, OpenLDAPand AD directory services
- Experience with networking principles, including DHCP, DNS, VPNs such as IPSec or SSL, and PKI
- Knowledge of Web markup, including HTML, HTML5, AngularJS, and CSS, including JavaScript language
- VCAP - Cloud Management and Automation or VCP certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
