- MD or equivalent degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency training program or an approved combined medicine-psychiatry or family medicine-psychiatry residency training program.
- Board eligibility or certification in an addiction specialty in psychiatry or medicine.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina, current state and federal prescriptive authority, and a valid DATA 2000 waiver to prescribe buprenorphine products for addiction treatment.
- Eligibility for clinical privileges at ECU Health Medical Center.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care with a primary clinical focus on addiction medicine.
- Supervise addiction and psychiatry residents.
- Teach medical students.
- Work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Participate in phone-only on-call coverage, with a resident serving as the first line.
- New graduates and 2027 visa candidates are welcome to apply.
- Loan repayment, sign-on bonus, income guarantees, and residency/fellowship paid commitment stipends are available for eligible candidates.
