Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated People Experience Associate to join our growing London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our Old Street office, managing various administrative tasks, and fostering a positive workplace culture. You will collaborate with colleagues in the US to maintain a consistent and cohesive workplace culture - ensuring a unified experience regardless of location. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including office management, benefits administration, policy development, contract renewals, and involvement in the onboarding of new employees. This is a great opportunity for someone with administration or office management experience to impact people and workplace experience at a growing financial technology company.
Responsibilities
Office Management / Culture
- Ordering snacks, drinks, and other office supplies to ensure the office is well-stocked.
- Arranging food & beverage for events and booking venues for company gatherings.
- Being a day-to-day presence in the office addressing day-to-day queries.
- Coordinating with building management for maintenance issues, including scheduling builders, plumbers, and electricians.
- Keeping a log of office maintenance issues and resolutions.
Administration
- Assisting with regular and ad-hoc HR and recruitment administrative tasks.
- Supporting the development and implementation of UK policies and development of the employee handbook.
- Providing administrative support and input on policy matters.
- Managing the contract renewals process for contractors
Onboarding
- Participating in the onboarding process for new employees.
- Working with the tech team to arrange and distribute laptops for new hires in the UK
- Acting as a point of contact for new hires during their first few months to address any questions or concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or a similar administrative role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Proactive and able to anticipate the needs of the office and employees.
- Comfortable working with technology and coordinating with different teams.
- Familiarity with HR and benefits administration is a plus.
