KPop Demon Hunters 2 may still be a way off yet, but at least we have this new short to quite literally whet our appetite.

KPop Demon Hunters 2 may still be a way off yet, but at least GamesRadar has this new short to quite literally whet its appetite. By Amy West published 8 hours ago McDonald's and Netflix are teaming up to bring out two KPop Demon Hunters-themed meals Huntrix and the Saja Boys return in a new KPop Demon Hunters short, as an unlikely collaboration sees them battling for (fast food-loving) fans. Announced on March 24, Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix are teaming up with McDonald's to bring out combo meals centered around the two rival bands: Huntrix's is a 10-chicken nugget affair complete with Ramyeon McShaker fries, while the Saja Boys are catering to its breakfast needs with a sausage and egg McMuffin topped with Spicy Saja sauce. Fittingly, the latter comes with a little soda pop, too - though GamesRadar is not entirely sold on that being someone's first beverage of the day. Watch the ad below... Latest Videos From GamesRadar+ "Everything we do at McDonald's is for the fans, and no one can relate to that more than Netflix and KPop Demon Hunters," Alyssa Buetikofer, the chain's chief marketing and customer experience officer, stated in a press release. "Big things happen when you bring two massive fandoms together, and this partnership was a natural fit." Released in 2025, KPop Demon Hunters follows singers Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, as they come up with new hit tracks to maintain the Honmoon, a magical, music-fuelled barrier that prevents evil entities from entering the real world. The balance is upset, though, when the underworld sends a Beelzebub-esque boy band to steal Huntrix's admirers - and break the barrier once and for all. A sequel is currently in the works. "I feel immense pride as a Korean filmmaker that the audience wants more from this Korean story and our Korean characters," co-director Maggie Kang stated when the follow-up was officially announced. "There's so much more to this world we have built, and I'm excited to show you. This is only the beginning." "These characters are like family to us, their world has become our second home," co-director Chris Appelhans added. "We're excited to write their next chapter, challenge them, and watch them evolve - and continue pushing the boundaries of how music, animation, and story can come together." Sony Pictures is Developing an Animated 'Venom' Movie

Sony Pictures is developing an animated 'Venom' movie. The studio taps 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein to helm the new symbiote chapter. Sony Pictures * Sony Pictures Animation is officially developing an animated feature film centered around the Marvel anti-hero Venom * Filmmaking duo Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein have been tapped to direct and produce the upcoming project * Franchise star Tom Hardy is expected to be involved in the new film in an undisclosed capacity Sony Pictures Animation is officially expanding its Marvel cinematic footprint with the development of an animated Venom movie. Following the immense global box-office success of the live-action trilogy, the studio is steering the popular symbiote franchise into the animated realm. The strategic shift aims to inject fresh narrative possibilities into the established character lore, building upon the massive critical and commercial triumphs of the studio's Oscar-winning Spider-Verse film series. To spearhead the new creative direction, Sony has enlisted filmmakers Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, the directing duo behind the recent horror hit Final Destination: Bloodlines. While the project is currently in its earliest stages of development, the studio is reportedly opening a writers' room to begin crafting the script. Veteran franchise producers Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are also likely to return to help oversee the transition from live-action to animation. A major point of interest surrounds the involvement of Tom Hardy, who famously brought Eddie Brock and the titular alien symbiote to life across three blockbuster films. Studio sources indicate that Hardy will remain connected to the animated feature, though his exact role - whether returning to provide voiceover work or stepping into a producer capacity - has yet to be confirmed. Given the extensive timeline required for feature animation and the lack of an attached writer, the film remains several years away from reaching theaters.

Sony Pictures Animation Teams with Kevin Love Fund for New 'GOAT: Beyond the Game' Featurette and Curriculum

Sony Pictures Animation teams with Kevin Love Fund for new 'GOAT: Beyond the Game' featurette and curriculum. February 19, 2026 Sony Pictures Animation (SPA) and the Kevin Love Fund (KLF) have teamed up to launch GOAT: Beyond the Game, a free curriculum featuring four lessons inspired by the studio's latest hit original animated feature film GOAT, now in theaters. Designed to help students build confidence and resilience, develop a growth mindset, and navigate emotions, the program brings the film's core themes into the classroom through student activities. Developed by the Kevin Love Fund's education team, the curriculum features creative and reflective writing, illustrating storyboard panels, drawing, and music-based activities that celebrate students' unique identities. Together, these lessons equip young people with valuable tools they can use to navigate the ups and downs of growing up and reinforce a simple idea: emotional wellness education belongs in every classroom, and everyone has the power to change the game. "Being comfortable in your own skin - that's the game-changer, on the court or in life. For years, I held everything in because I thought that's what I was supposed to do. But speaking up and reaching out? That's real strength," said Kevin Love, founder of the Kevin Love Fund. "With GOAT: Beyond the Game, we want kids to see themselves in these characters and know that talking about how you feel isn't a weakness. It's what makes you unstoppable." In 2018, professional basketball player Kevin Love established the Kevin Love Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to inspire people to live their healthiest lives by creating equity between mental and physical health. As an evidence-based nonprofit organization, KLF focuses on research, education, and narrative change to break the stigma around mental health. Premiering today alongside the curriculum is Roarball Roundup: An Exclusive Interview with the Vineland Thorns, a brand-new collection of animated character interviews from the film. In this special eight-minute featurette, the team opens up about pressure, fame, and their struggles on and off the court, with all the chaos, humor and unfiltered personality you'd expect from the Vineland Thorns. "Roarball Roundup gives audiences a fun, fast-paced intro to the characters and world of GOAT, but its real purpose is to start a conversation," added Tyree Dillihay, director of GOAT. "One that can help kids see themselves as both athletes and emotionally strong individuals." From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters, GOAT is an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world. The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball - a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will's new teammates aren't thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that "smalls can ball!" K-pop wins the battle of demon hunters at the Golden Globes

K-pop wins the battle of demon hunters at the Golden Globes. Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation sensation KPop Demon Hunters nabbed two wins at the 2026 Golden Globes last night. The first was for its smash-hit song "Golden," which took home the award for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture, beating out nominees like Wicked: For Good's "No Place Like Home," and "The Girl in a Bubble" as well as Sinners' "I Lied to You." However, it wasn't just the film's music that got Sony Animation and Netflix a win. KPop Demon Hunters also took home a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature, beating out its fellow demon-heavy rival, the anime Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. Both films earned their nominations. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle became the highest-grossing anime movie of all time, surpassing the 100 billion yen mark worldwide, making it the first Japanese film to achieve this milestone. Infinity Castle did so well at the box office that it surpassed the global box office totals of every Marvel and DC release in 2025. That's no easy feat. However, much to the chagrin of anime fans, it wasn't enough to beat KPop Demon Hunters; the film has been on everyone's lips since it debuted in June last year, and it's climbed to the top of the Billboard charts, as well as become an overall pop culture hit. The singers behind the voices of Huntr/x's members Ejae (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey), have become entertainment icons, performing live on platforms like Jimmy Kimmel and at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Both films are superb at what they do, and while they have very different target audiences, they're united by the common cause of demon slaying. While KPop Demon Hunters does it with upbeat songs, Tanjiro and his friends shed blood and tears to bring down the malicious threat of Muzan and his demons. It may not be as kid-friendly as KPop Demon Hunters, but Infinity Castle is definitely worth watching, whether you're an anime fan or not.
