About the Role:

As an engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager of the Core Experiences team within the larger Consumer Product organization, you will work across the tech stack that powers our flagship product, the Remitly application. You will take on challenging technical problems in service of shipping delightful and impactful experiences in the some of the most visible areas of Remitly. This product domain will stretch you to build reliable, available, and secure software that can address evolving and regionally unique user problems. Joining at the beginning, you will shape the culture, processes and technical foundations of the team.

You Will:

• Build novel product: Participate in the brainstorming, technical design, and implementation of new features with a data-driven and customer-centric viewpoint.
• Execute with quality: Build responsibly and with confidence by writing performant, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Be an Empathetic Partner: Partner with Product Management, Design and other departments to build and improve on high-quality features for our users.

You have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of building software products, in a consumer or b2b setting
• Biased for action: willing to build the first prototype, try it, and iterate based on your findings
• Passionate about exploring data and using it to inform decisions
• Experience working with React, React-Native, iOS, Android or other web/mobile platforms
• Proficiency in one of the languages: Java, TypeScript, C++, Swift, or Go
• Bonus: Experience with GraphQL at scale

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $116,710 - $150,050. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
