The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
Principal Purpose of Position:
General Ordering Inputs
- Place factory and direct orders with OEMs and dealers accurately and timely.
- Procure stock vehicles out of dealer inventory accurately and timely.
- Review order to ensure all proper information is provided.
- Work with internal partners and the customer, to procure any information that is needed to place the order.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including dealerships, manufacturers, spec analysts, and transport companies.
- Be able to manage inquiries from multiple sources (email, FT, MIS notes, Call/VM) and address these inquires with clear, proactive, and consistent communication.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all procurement activities.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Direct Specific Inputs
- Verify with Dealer/Vendor that orders were received and answer any questions the Dealer/Vendor has related to the order.
- Provide regular updates on vehicle status to relevant stakeholders, including providing reports on vehicle procurement and status when required.
Factory Specific Inputs
- Efficiently and accurately order vehicles through Evos and OEM Ordering systems.
- Review and check factory acknowledgement to verify/ ensure that all customer specifications are correctly ordered and routed.
- Review client parameters to ensure we’re following documented client processes.
Stock Specific Inputs
- Build prospects accurately based off of invoice supplied by the dealer.
- Price units accurately based on communication with the dealer on their selling price.
- Obtains appropriate documentation required for payment and processing from dealer.
- Properly utilizes the stock system for all communication with clients and internal customers.
Education and/or Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, a degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred
- Additional education, certifications, or experience are a plus
- Knowledge of fleet management software a plus
- Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
- Familiarity with office technology and equipment, including computers, fax machines, scanners, printers, phone systems, etc.
Relevant Work Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience in procurement, particularly in the automotive industry or fleet management a plus
- Experience with vehicle specing/upfit compatibility, upfitting processes and dealership operations a plus
- Proven relationship building skills with external and internal business partners
- Experience in logistics coordination and supply chain management a plus
- Proficiency in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department
- Reviewing and improving processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security

Regular Full-Time

Temporary or Part-Time
In geographic areas with statutory paid sick leave, part-time and temporary employees will receive a paid sick leave benefit that meets the mandated requirements.
Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $22.86 - $33.15 USD per hour.
