eCommerce Developer - React

We are seeking an eCommerce Developer to help create dynamic, user-centric experiences across our e-commerce platform. In this role, you will use your expertise in React to develop and optimize front-end applications that deliver seamless shopping experiences. You will collaborate closely with design, product, and marketing teams to bring creative visions to life while ensuring high performance and scalability.

This position reports to the Head of Digital Studio and is based in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize eCommerce applications using React and modern front-end development practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, product, and marketing teams to create responsive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Performance Optimization: Implement best practices to optimize speed and performance, ensuring responsive and efficient user experiences.
• API Integration: Work with APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) to seamlessly integrate data and services into front-end applications.
• SEO and Accessibility: Ensure applications follow SEO best practices and meet accessibility standards for inclusive user experiences.
• Testing and QA: Write and maintain clean, reusable code and perform testing to ensure functionality and quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest in React, JavaScript, and front-end development trends to keep our platform cutting-edge.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a focus on eCommerce applications.
• React and JavaScript Proficiency: Strong experience in React and JavaScript/TypeScript, with a deep understanding of component-based architecture.
• API Experience: Familiarity with GraphQL and/or REST APIs for managing data and interactions.
• Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing web applications for performance, including Core Web Vitals and responsive design principles.
• Headless CMS Experience (Preferred): Exposure to headless CMS platforms or composable commerce stacks is a plus.
• SEO & Accessibility: Working knowledge of SEO best practices and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
• UX/UI Design Awareness: Ability to work closely with designers to implement pixel-perfect user interfaces.
• Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, Cypress, or similar is a plus.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative and Agile environment.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $97,700.00 - $145,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
