  • Associates, Bachelors, or Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related fields (Must be in Second Year of collegiate studies or above)
  • Recent graduates are eligible up to 12 months after graduation
  • Basic understanding of or interest to learn restraint systems and design release engineering
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and work on projects independently
  • Hands-on experience putting components together
  • Understanding of Mechanical Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), applied CAE experience preferred
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience, preferably with Catia
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), applied GD&T experience preferred
  • Assist the Design Release Engineer in his daily tasks of design release of all airbags and/or seat belts in the vehicle, from system specification development, sourcing, packaging, drawing release, design validation to ramp up and manufacturing support
  • Perform basic CAE tasks like checking supplier CAD, loading it into Lucid system, making sections, design test fixtures
  • Follow-up Tier 1 suppliers progress on some identified topics
  • Follow-up Tier 1 suppliers testing, collecting test data, and fill-in Lucid test database
  • Support some integration tests, from components management, respect of the planning to creating test report following the master format
  • Perform projects on design release of seatbelts, steering wheels, and airbags
