Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable engineering or applied science degree)
  • 6+ years of experience in roadway design
  • 2+ years of progressive project management experience
  • Texas Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months)
  • Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design
  • Experience with MicroStation and Open Roads/Open Roads Designer
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of projects, managing client communication, deadlines, deliverables, budgets, and ensuring top-notch quality. Become a master of project execution from start to finish
  • Mentor and train junior engineers. Help build the next generation of transportation professionals.
  • Assist in business development activities by networking, connecting, and helping win new projects.
  • Lead the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, and reports for transportation projects
  • Build and cultivate strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in working on or with the Texas Department of Transportation and understanding their design requirements and/or LGPP Projects
  • Client communication and reporting, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities
