Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources, legal studies, business administration, political science, or international relations.
  • Four or more years of progressively more responsible human resources experience are required.
  • At least one year of proven experience in immigration law, procedures, regulations, and policies is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and attorneys.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and UKG Pro is required.
  • The role requires discretion when managing highly confidential information.
  • The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple time-sensitive tasks and deadlines.

  • The role requires the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-volume project management and administration for United States and global employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant visas, work permits, intracompany transfers, and permanent residency applications.
  • Coordinate with candidates, employees, managers, and external counsel while tracking and maintaining current immigration data, documents, and statuses using internal electronic filing systems, the human resources information system, and global immigration portals.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration and employment laws and company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct immigration research and consult with external counsel as needed to provide recommendations and guidance to employees and the business for intracompany mobility needs.
  • Monitor monthly visa expiration reports for expiring work authorizations and ensure timely Form I-9 updates, employment re-verifications, and visa or work permit extensions.
  • Administer and manage permanent residence processes and related PERM, Form I-140, and Form I-485 applications, including timeline and cost discussions with managers, analysis of minimum job and prevailing wage requirements, and recruitment efforts coordinated with external counsel.
  • Draft and edit visa support letters, applications, and immigration forms; assist with online applications; and manage the collection and review of employee documents and immigration forms.
  • Administer and manage annual and ongoing United States, Canada, and global visa processes from start to finish, including TN border and consular processes, L-1A and L-1B visas, Student F-1 CPT, OPT, and STEM processes with Form I-983 Training Plan reviews, and H-1B cap and extension processes.
  • Prepare and manage approvals for H-1B lottery submissions, Notices of Filing, Public Access Files, prevailing wage and level analyses, discussions with managers, and visa job descriptions.
  • Regularly review and update immigration policies, procedures, tools, and guidance to keep company intranet and handbook information current.
  • Maintain relationships with Talent Acquisition, Human Resources Business Partners, employees, and managers regarding immigration cases; request case-related information; and keep stakeholders apprised of case updates.
  • Educate and provide guidance to employees, managers, and Branch Managers on immigration laws, costs, practices, and procedures, including conducting information sessions and coordinating kickoff calls.
  • Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
