- A college diploma or university certificate in occupational health and safety is required.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position is required.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations is required.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is required.
- A valid driver's licence and availability to travel between the company's different sites as needed are required.
- Act as a change agent to develop an occupational health and safety culture and support managers with their cases.
- Coach managers in developing their occupational health and safety leadership and integrating prevention into operations.
- Deploy and monitor programs, procedures, and tools designed to strengthen prevention and accountability.
- Inspect workplaces and maintain a field presence to promote safe behaviors.
- Analyze occupational risks and propose appropriate preventive measures.
- Conduct accident investigations and collaborate with authorities during inspections or investigations.
- Track training, facilitate occupational health and safety committees, and respond to information requests from employees and clients.
- Bilingual ability in French and English is an asset.
