Requirements
  • Hold a Master's of Counseling or Master's in Social Work degree, which meets eligibility requirements in Texas for licensure.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of an LPC-S, the LPC-A complete a bio-psychosocial assessment of patients. The applied biopsychosocial model and approach will include cognitive behavioral therapy, IPSRT, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy and/or other techniques and modalities as clinically indicated. Complete relative evaluations and treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Participate in screening, tracking, and reporting of patient outcomes and social work interventions. Complete documentation in the clinical record related to interaction with individuals-served, families and other service providers in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with professional ethics and with both Federal and State regulations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for bipolar disorder individuals. Follow up with bipolar individuals to ensure their issues are resolved to their satisfaction. Provide exceptional support to clients via phone, email, and chat. Assist clients with troubleshooting, scheduling, and resolving issues.
  • Develop, collect, conduct, and analyze research projects, including psychological measures using standard interviews (self-report and/or clinician-based) and neuroimaging measures as part of a team of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate assistants. Offer guidance and support in navigating our research studies and clinical services. Develop and maintain working relationships with behavioral health providers in the community.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address complex issues and improve research and service quality. Evaluate, identify, and report on program processes and makes recommendations to leadership for improvement. Collaborate with leadership on program development opportunities.
  • Assist with data entry and database management. Contribute to creating and updating support documentation and FAQs. Assist with the creation, scheduling and promotion of psychoeducational presentations (this includes the planning for in-person and/or virtual events, confirming presenters’ availability, creating flyers, etc.).
  • Participate in departmental meetings, continuing education opportunities, academic and research opportunities to optimize patient best practice and interdepartmental collaboration. Participate in clinical supervision, consistent with applicant’s own licensure and experience.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of post-degree clinical experience, preferably in direct mental health practice.
  • Have experience delivering care as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Have a working knowledge of and/or experience and certification with evidence-based therapies, bipolar disorder patients, and value-based healthcare delivery.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Have experience designing and managing the REDCap database.
  • Experience with MRI.
  • Experience with IRB.
  • Experience with clinical trials.
