- A current Victorian Security License is required.
- Demonstrated experience in security, patrol, or customer service roles is required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple campuses is required.
- A current First Aid Certificate including CPR, a full driver's license, and a Working with Children Check are required.
- Provide a highly visible, professional security presence and deliver responsive security services across University of Melbourne campuses and properties.
- Patrol premises regularly.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and equipment.
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicles.
- Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of personnel and visitors.
- Report suspicious behavior and incidents to supervisors.
- Respond to alarms or suspicious noises in a timely manner.
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity.
- Experience in a university or large institutional environment.
- Knowledge of University security systems including Gallagher, Milestone, and SafeZone.
- Training in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and traffic management.
