Requirements
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience in data engineering technologies and frameworks such as DBT, Dataform, or Databricks
  • Extensive experience working with Python and Pandas
  • Extensive Experience writing SQL queries against a relational database
  • Experience in version control systems, preferably GitHub
  • Experience in data engineering technologies and frameworks such as DBT, Dataform, or Databricks
  • Experience with technical communication including Release Notes and Instructional Documentation.
  • Experience in Relational or noSQL database technology
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform or similar
  • Experience in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Spinnaker
  • Experience designing and implementing microservice-based architectures
  • Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
  • Experience in implementing security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
  • Experience in creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Responsibilities
  • Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to ingest, clean, and transform data from various sources.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support both real-time and batch processing.
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.
  • Implement data security practices, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and growth
  • Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software, with a clear understanding of the value the software is to provide; Takes a broad view when approaching issues; using a global lens; Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances; Develops test suites (functional, destructive, etc) to enable success, rapid deployment of code to production; Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm; Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances
