Requirements
  • Disciplines of preferred study: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills in the design of experiments (DOE), analysis of variance (ANOVA), and other statistical techniques.
  • Hands-on experience setting up, customizing, communicating with, and controlling electronics lab instrumentation to test microsystems.
  • Experience in an object-oriented programming language (preferably Python).
  • Prior experience operating metrology equipment for evaluating high frequency and high precision electrical signals. Experience with Oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQs, sensors, and actuators is imperative.
  • Experience with electronic signal processing and circuit design.
  • Experience developing and following stringent standard test procedures.
  • Experience with mechanical design and systems integration using CAD.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree, 10 years of work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Develop testing hardware, software, and procedures to evaluate the mechanical, electrical, magnetic, and thermal performance of the final packaged device product and its major subsystems.
  • Own development, maintenance, and organization of firmware that controls the device and test setup.
  • Work hands-on designing and setting up test systems that enable automated and/or high-throughput analyses, implementing both custom and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment solutions depending on testing needs.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Establish and maintain traceable databases and software tools for querying and visualizing data.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of test failures, and work with design, process, and quality engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to design for testability (DFT) initiatives to optimize test coverage and efficiency.
  • Maintain product test documentation including test reports, procedures, and specifications in compliance with industry standards and certifications.
