Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development credential is required.
  • At least one year of administrative, project support, or comparable experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment efforts by creating job postings and coordinating pre-employment checks, including background checks and post-offer physicals.
  • Partner with search chairs, human resources liaisons, and human resources partners to support smooth transitions and handoffs throughout the talent acquisition process.
  • Prepare and distribute offer letters and onboarding materials for new hires.
  • Ensure all required tasks are completed in the applicant tracking system before closing out a search.
  • Assist employees with onboarding tasks, including I-9 verification and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Manage onboarding procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Organize and maintain records by creating, scanning, and maintaining confidential department and employee files.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence related to human resources inquiries.

  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system such as Oracle.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload amid changing priorities, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Independent judgment and initiative, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
