- At least five years of broad accounting experience in small or medium-sized companies.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Previous experience with United States tax requirements, including WTH and FATCA declarations.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel, including intermediate-level formulas and extracting information across multiple sources.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, communicate, take initiative, provide helpful support, and work as part of a team.
- Post vendor invoices for Italian, European Union, and extra-European Union vendors.
- Receive and codify electronic vendor invoices through the dedicated platform.
- Manage the vendor database, provide information to the Vendor Master Data team, and set up vendors efficiently.
- Analyze contracts and related expense reports.
- Maintain monthly accounting records within the accounts payable perimeter for balance sheets and other financial statements.
- Support monthly closing by making accruals, verifying prepaid expenses and received invoices, extracting information, and performing reconciliations independently.
- Perform bank reconciliations for payment and collection postings.
- Manage vendor payment requests to support weekly cash flow, including advance payments, payments due, exchange-rate differences, and reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT, LIPE, Esterometro, and Intrastat declarations independently.
- Perform general-ledger accounting, including accruals and giro-account postings.
- Support client accounting, including giro-account postings when requested.
- Prepare WTH and FATCA declarations.
- Analyze travel-and-expense reports for accounting correctness and compliance with applicable rules.
- Use SAP and Microsoft Excel to manage reports and extract information across multiple sources.
- Experience in a tax, statutory advisor, or chartered accountant firm.
- Experience with customer relationship management tools.
