Requirements
  • ARDMS and/or RVT registration with prior clinical ultrasound experience is required.
  • Proficiency running advanced ultrasound studies independently is required.
  • Proficiency in abdomen and small parts, obstetrics and gynecology, and vascular ultrasound is required.
  • CPR-BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities
  • Document patients' medical histories before examinations.
  • Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment.
  • Calm patient anxieties, explain the imaging process, and address patient questions or concerns.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Ensure patients remain comfortable and safe throughout their experience.
  • Maintain room cleanliness and adequate supplies.
  • Use sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures.
  • Accurately document ultrasound services and related data in patients' charts.
  • Communicate medical data, patient histories, and related information to staff and the appropriate physician.
  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in breast ultrasound is preferred.
  • Provide education, training, and direction to new technologists.
