Responsibilities
  • Set day-to-day operational objectives for the team.
  • Lead processes and teams involved in planning, directing, and monitoring warehouse activities related to movement, storage, and inventory control of materials, finished goods, tools, packaging, and machinery.
  • Oversee assignments and ensure completion of work activities by employees across various work groups and shifts.
  • Monitor operations for compliance with applicable materials-handling, storage, and distribution regulations.
  • Ensure employees work safely and follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate shift start-up activities and end-of-shift cleanup or other activities.
  • Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available to complete jobs.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions when applicable.
  • Provide performance input to the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Report accidents and incidents immediately to a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Report policy or procedure violations to a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Participate in and support health and safety initiatives and requirements.
  • Work directly on the warehouse floor or around heavy machinery.
