Summary\: Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Operates and maintains an MRI scanner to obtain quality images for physician interpretations.

Develop and maintain imaging and safety protocols and maintain all record keeping required to meet state and federal regulations.

Provides specific guidance and instruction to staff on all imaging, safety and regulatory requirements as needed.

Participates in education programs to meet mandatory requirements and identified needs about job and personal growth.

Follows through with suggestions from supervisor or self-assessment to meet identified needs about job and personal growth.

Reports to work as scheduled and notifies department when unable to work per UHC policy and procedures.

Demonstrates flexibility to meet the needs of departmental or hospital in regard to changes in work volume, planned change, scheduling changes and emergency call-back (i.e., weather disaster)

Perform all required diagnostic MRI scanning through proper positioning and techniques.

Demonstrates ability to self-critique images.
