- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- The employee must be willing and able to work scheduled 12-hour shifts.
- The employee must be comfortable working in varying temperature environments, including hot and cold conditions.
- The employee must be able to safely lift and handle 50 pounds or more as required.
- Check with the lead person at the beginning of the shift to determine the production schedule.
- Set up and maintain wire-drawing machines according to the production schedule and quality standards, making minor adjustments as necessary.
- Load rod coils onto drawing-machine payoffs.
- Operate the machine to produce a finished product.
- Perform regular quality inspections throughout the shift.
- Generate inventory-related paperwork at the end of each run.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Maintain good safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Knowledge of wire-drawing operations is preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
