  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or other relevant engineering environment; OR a Master's degree and 3 years of professional experience in industrial engineering or other relevant engineering environment

Responsibilities
  • Lead 6-8 team members
  • Provide technical and leadership support to the Industrial Engineering team
  • Sit on site leadership meetings for Dayton, OH and Iuka, MS sites
  • Work side by side with Operations and IPT leadership by developing tools to help them achieve all business targets
  • Drive strategic initiatives and tactical actions that deliver results to improve program cost and schedule performance
  • Deliver on short-term, high visibility program requests, while creating a vision and executing a long-term strategy to influence change within and outside the organization
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team of industrial engineers by assigning meaningful tasks, providing frequent feedback, and rewarding positive performance
  • Administer to Industrial Engineering employees; including performance reviews, merit increases, promotions, skills inventory and personal resources
  • Source key IEOM talent to ensure success of the Business Unit goals
  • Work in concert with other functional homerooms and shared service organizations to coordinate, direct, and support the continuous improvement of people, products, processes, systems and services
  • Oversee projects and tasks assigned to the cross-functional ASBU organization and provide direction to ensure quality, schedule and cost are achieved
  • Create long range planning & strategies for the operations team (e.g.: staffing forecasting, recovery plan schedules, line balancing assessments, EAC/Budget forecasting)
  • Travel 25% to support two different sites
Desired Qualifications
  • Active DoD secret security clearance
  • Active PAR
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, or Technology (STEM) degree
  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment; at least 1 year experience in Shop Floor Operations
  • Demonstrated work experience leading and building diverse teams in fast-paced, quality-centric environments
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Estimate at Complete (EAC) experience
  • Experience with NGAS system of Shop Floor Controls (SFC) for various lifecycles of manufacturing products
