Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is an asset.
  • One to two years of experience coordinating multiple commercial transactions, projects, or fast-paced operational workflows under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in commercial real estate, commercial lending, financial services, or legal administration is an asset, with familiarity in AML/FINTRAC requirements and corporate documentation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and French are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to identify process improvements proactively, exercise sound judgment with confidential data, and work independently in a high-growth environment.
  • Four days per week of on-site presence at the Montreal office is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Montreal and Quebec transaction pipeline, maintain data integrity in Orbit, and manage files from mandate through post-closing and archiving.
  • Serve as the operational backbone during transaction closings by liaising with borrowers, lenders, legal counsel, notaries, and internal teams to ensure requirements are met on time.
  • Manage AML/FINTRAC and Know Your Customer compliance, broker licensing, and monthly AMF reporting in Quebec, while collaborating with the national Trust & Safety team to standardize best practices.
  • Optimize execution workflows by formatting confidential information memoranda, creating presentations, conducting market research, and designing standardized templates for the team.
  • Manage LinkedIn content, client gifts, promotional assets, and end-to-end networking events and conferences to support the regional brand.
  • Own departmental expenses, travel arrangements, commissions, invoicing, and subscription management for operational platforms.
  • Manage meetings and communications while handling confidential information discreetly.
  • Execute other related tasks or special assignments that support leadership and overall team efficiency.

Montréal-based online mortgage lender Nesto has acquired Vancouver-based CMLS Group, the third-largest mortgage finance company in Canada, for an undisclosed amount. The combined entity will have over 1,000 employees across 10 offices and more than $60 billion in mortgages under administration. The deal was supported by investments from Diagram Ventures, Portage, NAventures, IGM Financial, BMO Capital Partners, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, and Fondaction.
