- Job Title – Content Executive - Outdoor
- Location – BL9 8RR
- Working rota – Monday - Friday
- Working hours – 40 hours
- Working model - 4 days in office, 1 day working from home
I am responsible for........
- Planning and creating engaging, relevant and commercially minded content to be used across JD Outdoors communication channels (physical and digital).
- Supporting in the development of the JD Outdoors content strategy.
- Supporting in the delivery of brand funded partnership marketing plans.
I do this by.....
- Contributing to fascia content calendars that align with the campaign planning calendar (season campaigns, product launches, etc) in line with the content strategy.
- Producing SEO-rich blog content and activity/buying guides.
- Working with the in-house production team to produce video content to support the content strategy.
- Creating copy for marketing material across JD Outdoor fascia channels. This would include:
- Headlines and body copy for creative executions, such as brand pages, emails, mailers, PR opportunities and in-store POS.
- Supporting the multichannel team on email and web copy/content inclusions.
- Supporting the social team, ensuring all activity is aligned with the brand strategy and contributing to cohesive campaigns.
- Monitoring content performance and reporting insights, continuously looking for ways to improve the JD Outdoor content strategy and plans.
- Working closely with the commercial/own brand teams to develop and execute content and marketing activity for own brand and branded ranges - ensuring their messages are delivered across all relevant channels.
- Working to the critical path for all activity within remit.
- Communicating campaigns & results.

The skills and knowledge I need to do my job are.....
- An excellent writer, able to write creative and persuasive copy with a defined tone of voice, quickly and accurately.
- Experience with blog building tools (such as Wordpress) with basic HTML skills.
- Experience of selling product through marketing and/or retail sales.
- Knowledge and understanding of what makes a good customer experience.
- Experience of social media and broader marketing.
- A passion for the outdoors and outdoors products.
- Experience of developing and managing content calendars.
- Video production skills – planning, scripting, administration, budgeting, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively on projects with multiple stakeholders from across the business.
- Ability to draw insights from analytic data. Familiarity with Google Analytics.
